Derek Wayne Schroeder, Cpt (Ret), 40, of Walford, Iowa, was called from this world on Monday, January 12, 2026. Private family viewing will be held on Tuesday, January 20th at Fry Funeral Home followed by cremation. Derek will receive full military honors when he is laid to rest on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at 10:00 am, Rock Island National Cemetery.
