Dereck Williams, 25, of Birmingham, AL, passed away on April 20, 2022 after a battle with cancer.

Dereck was born on January of 1977 to Taisha Williams and Dereck Williams in Birmingham, Al. After graduating from Parker High School in 2016. Dereck left behind his only son D’Mari Smith. Dereck was a force of nature, determined to provide for his family and give them the life he felt they deserved. His family meant more to his than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned. Dereck was also passionate and he loved basketball. Anyone who knew Dereck knew that he was the most loving father a family could ask for. The family requests that all flowers and notes are sent to Bushelon Funeral Home.
