Dennis Wheatley, O.F.M, passed to eternal life on the morning of Dec. 11 at the age of 71, surrounded by his loving family. He died after a long struggle with complications from Covid-19. At the time of his death, Dennis was Pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Waltham, MA, where he had served for twenty-two years. Dennis served in a variety of ministries, including many years of teaching at Christopher Columbus High School in Boston and Marian High School in Framingham.

Fr. Dennis is survived by all of his loving family, friends, and parishioners.

A vigil service will be held for Fr. Dennis at Sacred Heart Church, 311 River St., Waltham, MA from 4:00 PM -8:00 PM on Sunday, Dec. 19. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held in the same location on Monday, Dec. 20 at 10:00 AM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY. Dec 21.
