Dennis “Denny” Lee Reeves, of Belton, Missouri, passed away on August 26, 2025, at the age of 47. Born on June 16, 1978, in Smithville, Missouri, Dennis lived a life marked by hard work, deep family connections, and a passion for the simple joys that brought him closer to those he loved.
Dennis spent the majority of his career behind the wheel of a semi-truck, hauling freight both locally and across the country. He worked for many years at Reeves Trucking, where he found great satisfaction in his work and took pride in being part of a profession that kept America moving. His dedication to his job was matched only by his devotion to his family.
He is survived by his wife, Casey Reeves; his daughter Haylee Reeves; son Hunter Reeves; his brother Randy Reeves; and father Leo Reeves. He also leaves behind his stepchildren Emilee Hendren, Bryce Hendren, Remington Gash and numerous other relatives that dearly loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Reeves.
Outside of work, he also had a wide range of interests that reflected his love for both tradition and modern fun. He was an avid collector and seller of baseball cards—a hobby that connected him to the history and spirit of the game. He cherished time spent outdoors with his children, fishing, hunting deer and gathering morel mushrooms around Smithville Lake. In more recent years, he embraced technology with enthusiasm, enjoying countless hours playing Fortnite online with his children. These gaming sessions became treasured moments of bonding and laughter for all. Additionally, he shared a special connection with his son Hunter through their mutual love for music and often played guitar alongside him.
Dennis’s life was one rooted in connection—whether through long drives on open roads or quiet evenings spent with family doing what they loved most together. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him best.
May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
