It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of my beloved husband, Dennis Peter O’Rourke, who died peacefully at home on February 10, 2026.

Dennis leaves behind his wife, Anne; his three children, Jennifer, Ryan, and Sean; his four stepchildren, Diane, Vince (Jessi), Stephanie (Jeff), and Joey; and his nine grandchildren, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.

Dennis was born in New York and later moved to South Florida, where he owned and operated his commercial pest control business, Outside In Pest Control. After retiring, Dennis settled in Georgia, where he enjoyed a good cigar, puttering around his lake house on Lake Oconee, and spending time outdoors.

Dennis had a friendly spirit and loved talking with passersby, always greeting people with a smile or a wave. He was known for his warmth, his willingness to strike up a conversation, and his appreciation for the simple pleasures of life. Whether sitting by the lake, tending to small projects around the house, or enjoying quiet moments, Dennis found contentment in everyday things.

Dennis will be remembered for his independent spirit, his love of family, and the many connections he made along the way. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A service will be held at St Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church on Friday February 20th at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Dennis’s memory in your own way — perhaps by enjoying a peaceful moment outdoors or sharing a kind word with a stranger.
