Dennis's obituary
Dennis Lynn Henderson was born to Joann Nelson and Dwight Henderson on December 7th, 1956. He grew up in southern California where he would eventually meet his wife, Sheryl Quinlan. After a whirlwind romance, Dennis and Sheryl wed on February 14th, 1976. In October of 1976, Dennis and Sheryl welcomed their first child, Dustin. Two years later in June of 1978, Dennis and Sheryl completed their family with the birth of their daughter, Shawn. Dennis was a loving and compassionate father. His children say it was uncommon to ever hear Dennis even raise his voice and that he always provided them with a soft place to land. Dennis moved his family to Washington state in the early 1980's where he had a successful career with Pacific Medical Centers and later, Boeing. During this time Dennis displayed a vigor and lust for life that many could only aspire to have. Though he was met with many difficulties during his life, Dennis was never angry and did not let the difficulties of life break his warm spirit. Between 1996 and 2009, Dennis welcomed four grandchildren. Dennis was just as loving of a grandfather as he was a father. Although, his grandchildren knew they would be up for a challenge if they wanted to have the first sip of their grandfather's Pepsi. Still, Dennis always put the needs of his family above his own. No matter the challenge that life presented, Dennis remained a forgiving, calm and loving rock for his family. Dennis displayed qualities that those around him hoped they could one day master with the same ease that he did. Dennis was a son, husband, father, grandfather, friend, and above all he was one of the most tremendous people to ever walk this planet. There will not be a day that goes by that he is not missed terribly, but his family is comforted knowing that Dennis is watching over them and that they will see him again, likely eating Mexican food and hogging all of the Pepsi that Heaven has to offer.

"For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." -2 Corinthians 4:17-18
