Dennis Randolph “Randy” Bays, Sr.

September 4, 1952 – August 31, 2025

Dennis Randolph Bays, Sr., known to family and friends as Randy, was born September 4, 1952, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, to John and Doris Bays. He passed away Sunday, August 31, 2025, in Batavia, Ohio.

Randy grew up in Wheelersburg and spent most of his life there, with a number of years in Goshen before returning to his hometown. He worked as an electrician and enjoyed fishing, camping, and hiking.

He is survived by his children: Dennis Bays and his spouse Dawn; Kurtis Bays and his spouse Missy; and Chrissy Grove and her husband Sean. He was a proud grandfather to Koltin Bays and Kacey  Herlinger, and step-grandfather to Robby, James, and Kimberly. He is also survived by his siblings Jason, Jim, Jane, and stepbrother Chris.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Marlin, John, Carol, and David.

Above all else, Randy cared deeply for his family. Whether near or far, he always held them close in his heart.
