Dennis Almeda, Sr.
December 30, 1947 – May 24, 2025
Dennis Almeda, Sr., 77, of Riverview, Florida, entered into eternal life on May 24, 2025. Born in Tampa to Frank and Annie Carlino Almeda.
Dennis was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
He is survived by his children Lisa (Rick), Dennis Jr. (Sue), Michele Welcome (Jude), Jessica (Gary), their mother, Linda Almeda, and Steven (Julie); siblings Frank (Mary Beth), Larry, and Brenda; 13 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many extended family and friends who loved him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, stepdaughter Crystal Scarborough, and former wife Debbie Almeda.
Dennis was known for his big heart, quick wit, and love for storytelling. A skilled industrial pipefitter and foreman, he proudly worked on notable projects including Tampa’s Ice Palace and Tampa International Airport. He was passionate about boating, fishing, and teaching maritime safety and navigation as a U.S. Power Squadron Instructor. Above all, he loved his family and found joy in their happiness and successes.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sept 6, 2025 at the Riverview Civic Center.
