My last visit with Denise
Sioux Falls, SD, USA
My last visit with Denise — with Denise, Leon, Jerry, Ann, Kathy, Myself, Cheryl and Halle
I think of you often, especially every time I see purple (I'm wearing purple nail polish right now just for you). I'm here at work and was just thinking of when you first started working here at Doerner, all the fun times we had at work (and afterwards!) and just plain missing your sweet face and smile and your presence, of course. Hard to believe next month it will be two years you've been gone already.  Sending you hugs and kisses in Heaven my friend. XX00

Reading all these comments again about Denise brings back all the years of memories, fun, laughter, family and friendship.  Her presence is definitely missed in my life and those of many others.  I think of her a lot and smile every time I see her favorite color, purple.  To me she was so perfect, full of love and heart, the best friend, sister, mother, teacher to all and so caring.  You were taken too soon, and I miss you my friend.

Denise had more friends than anyone! She truly loved everyone and was a 'kid magnet'! She was an angel on earth.

We met Denise & David in the mid-1980's in Tulsa, when David & John worked together. Then we had children and the friendship journey continued. Denise made sure we kept in touch with family dinners and holiday gift exchanges whether we were in Tulsa, Humble/The Woodlands, TX, Edmond, Ok and  back to Tulsa. Matthew and our oldest son, Jonathan, even played on the same baseball team in Edmond! But we all came full circle back to Tulsa for several years. Denise never failed to keep in touch. The past few years, although she had many medical obstacles, she always took time to ask how others were doing and volunteered to pray for those who were struggling.  Sincerely faithful in every situation.

David, Matthew & Morgan, you were her lifeline and the loves of her life. (Beyond her Eich family)  Then came Isabel, Tyler & PIERCE! Her entire family gave her the hope she needed.

Her service was lovely and thank you for posting it so we could be a part of it from Florida. Morgan, your tribute was amazing. Please keep in touch.

Love & Prayers to all,

Marsha & John Krummel

I first met Denise in the late 80's when she came to work at Doerner Saunders Law Firm when she moved here from South Dakota (after she married David).  I loved her from the get go!  She always had a smile, was very energetic and friendly to everyone, did her job well; she was just a genuinely nice person all around.  She had unwavering faith, she cared about and got along with everyone and anyone because that's who she was, a most precious gift.  She talked about her family back home, and I felt I knew them just by listening to her tell me all about them.  Over the years I met many of her family members and so enjoyed visiting with them when they came to Tulsa for visits, and those nieces - so cute and funny!  She loved and was very proud of her family and she was especially proud of her grandson Pierce.  Denise had time for everyone.  She really enjoyed all things Matt and Morgan, and her Sunday school class of kids (she would make cute and delicious treats for them), and let's not forget the goodies she made at Christmastime for everyone (I helped several times-we always had so much fun baking!).  She loved her Jazzercise classes and the ladies there she exercised with (she was a workout queen), she loved the people she worked with, there just wasn't a day that went by that she didn't give 100% of herself to life and to everyone around her.  Our last trip together was in September 2019 when we traveled to Texas for Ann's special birthday celebration.  We had a blast as always!  Denise was the absolute best friend anyone could have ever had, and I am going to miss her so very much.   I wish I could have one more day with her, one more phone call, one more hug.  I missed her phone call the Saturday before she passed (I happened to be bathing my dogs at the time of her call), and I just want to hear her voice one more time and tell her again how much she is loved.  Heaven gained a most precious, special Angel.   I miss you so much.  Life won't be the same without you in it.

In response to "What was the most fun you ever had with Denise?"
I met Denise in1976 when we were both on a trip to Washington DC with teens from all over the country.  The SD kids bonded! We kept in touch over the years with letters and later Facebook.  She was always so proud of her family and interested in everyone around her.  She touched me years ago when we met & I will always remember her wonderful kindness & love for all.  She will be missed by many.

I had the great pleasure of having Denise in my life for the past 13+ years. She made every moment fun, whether we were walking Lafortune Park, going to lunch or just chatting as next—door-neighbors, mostly girl talk.

Most of all, Denise loved her family; David, Morgan and  Matthew, their spouses and the love of her life, baby Pierce.

I will miss her always, but I am the luckiest person ever to have this beautiful soul in my life. Thanks for the memories, my friend….💕

Denise made every moment with her fun. She was never negative about anything, always brought the positive out in every situation.  Anyone who has met her will remember her always as kind, loving, caring and a blast.
