Denise's obituary

Denise E. Hill, age 56, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday October 15, 2024. She was born on September 20, 1968 in Mobile, Alabama. Denise was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan who wore her crimson and white with pride. Every Saturday, the neighbors knew when Alabama scored from the commotion inside the Hill household and others from a distance knew she was watching the game because she would not text or call back until the game was over. When football season was not in full swing, you would likely find her at the lake or any local body of water fishing. She loved catfishing specifically and always seemed to catch the biggest and the largest amounts of fish no matter if it was early in the morning or late at night. The camping scene was her favorite and loved to take long weekend trips to Lake White and enjoy the summer boating, fishing, camping, and swimming with her family and friends.

She knew no strangers, and would welcome anyone over to the house or have a conversations with people she hardly knew. She had an outgoing spirit and a contagious laugh that made people feel welcomed and loved.

She is survived by her loving husband of 32 years Gary Hill Jr.; son, Garrett (Lexi) Hill; daughter, Victoria (Tanner) Hill; grandchildren, Gibson, Grady, Haiden, and Lea; sisters, Pamela (Jeff) Harrow, Tonya (John)

Etheredge, Sherry Johnson, Debra (Jim) Ryan, Tia Bailey; brothers, Danny (Julie) Bailey, Mack (Tonya) Bailey; step-mother, Jeanne (John) Backer; and by many loving in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends.

She is preceded in death by her father Danny Bailey, mother Peggy Williams, and sister Martha Sue Lemaster

A celebration of Denise's life will be held Friday, October 25th, 2024, at Pfeifer-Woodyard Funeral & Cremation Services, 7915 E. Main St. Reynoldsburg, OH 43068. Her family will welcome friends from 4:00pm-7:00pm, with the memorial beginning at 6:00pm.
