Denise's obituary

Denise Lynn Crownoble, beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on July 9, 2024.

Born on July 28, 1958, Denise was the daughter of the late Edward John Sago and Nelda Jean Sago (Gipson). She was a loving sister to Renee Cantor and the late Edward Sago Jr. Denise grew up in Jackson Township in her hometown of Massillon, Ohio.

Denise pursued her passions with vigor throughout her life. She excelled academically, graduating from Jackson High School before embarking on a successful career at Nationwide Insurance, where she retired after 40 years. She continued working for a few years as a licensed agent at State Farm Insurance. Her dedication and work ethic were truly admirable.

In 1995, Denise married Randy Crownoble, with whom she shared 29 years of partnership and love. Denise was a devoted mother to her children, Lauren Frey, Shelby Metz, Mary Crownoble, and Christal Merritt instilling in them values of empathy, gratitude, and perseverance. She cherished every moment spent with her grandchildren Jayden Crownoble, Bodhi Merritt, and Reid Metz who brought immense happiness to her life.

Denise brought joy and warmth to those around her from an early age. She was known for her infectious laughter, compassion, resilience, and generosity. She will forever be remembered for her boundless love, wise advice, witty sense of humor and gentle nature.

She is survived by her husband Randy Crownoble, her daughters Lauren (Zach) Frey, Shelby (Cody) Metz, Mary Crownoble, and Christal (Chris) Merritt, grandsons Jayden Crownoble, Bodhi Merritt, and Reid Metz, sister Renee (Jacob) Cantor, and nieces Jennifer (Ireland and Quinn) Kolp, Kristina (Cameron) Kolp, Cassandra Kolp, and Ashley Sago; her dog Scooby, and friends who will miss her dearly.

A private memorial service to celebrate Denise's life will be held at Arnold Funeral Home Sunday, July 21st.

Denise leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and love that will continue to inspire all who knew her. May she rest in heaven until we meet again.
