Denis Karle Lybe, aged 91, passed away on July 4, 2024, in Trona, California. Born on June 26, 1933, in Harvey, Illinois, Denis was a beloved figure known for his humorous, thoughtful, and charismatic personality.

Denis graduated from Thorton Township High School and soon after served in the Air Force from 1953 to 1957. Denis was proud of his time in the Air Force and spoke of it fondly.

Following his military service, Denis embarked on a successful acting career, gracing both the screen and the stage. He appeared in notable TV shows such as "The Jeffersons" and "Carter Country," films including "Blacula," and was a recurring character on the Onion News Network. His talents extended beyond acting into the realms of singing, tennis, bowling, painting, poetry, and sculpting, enriching his life and those around him with his diverse interests.

Denis was the loving father of Amy Lybe. He was also father to Kris Vincent and Denis Lybe Jr, both from previous marriages. Denis is also brother to Pene Harbuck. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Lybe; his parents, Garnett and Ola Lybe; and his brother, Ken Lybe.

Denis's life was one of vibrant engagement and joyful interaction, and he will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
