It's been a year since we heard the news.  An entire year of watching those who love you pick up the pieces daily and keep smiling as you would have.  You would be proud of your siblings and your friend, Jack.  He's put his very best foot forward every single day.  I miss seeing your smile.  I miss a lot of things.  I will keep pushing as I do often so that the media doesn't hurt family when reporting the news.  I will always push in honor of you.  At your funeral, your pastor said, we aren't here because you died, we're here because you lived.  We are all still living with you and that smile in our hearts.  Rest easy.
Oh man! I dont know where to begin! Me and Demetrius were best friends in elementary and middle school. I hardly stayed in contact with him after high school since i left to the marines but i should’ve taken the time and texted him and called to check up which i totally regret because when i found out he passed i was broken. We had our ups and down but we always ended up hanging out with each other after school and always played sports together. He wanted to join the military and asked me for help but he never joined! I just know he was a hard working guy and put his family and friends first before himself! I will always think about him!! 💔 I can’t process anything at the moment because all i ever started thinking about is the good times we had and the crazy things we did together! I miss you a lot and im so sorry i didn’t stay in touch as much!!! Rest In Peace My Brother! I will always love you dawg!! ❤️😢😢

Demetrius was a kind and loving friend and brother. So many wonderful memories from his time spent at the Boys & Girls Club. He always had a smile on his face and made sure his friends were cared for. We will miss him greatly
I’m so very sorry for your loss. May you be strengthened by your memories. God’s peace to you and your family.

Im so sorry for your loss. Praying for you and your family during this difficult time and hope you all can find comfort in each other.
Everyone at Inner Path is saddened by this senseless death. We’re sending prayers of comfort during this time of grief and hope that you are able to surround yourselves with fond memories of Demetrius. He sounds like a phenomenal young man, and the world is less bright today without him in it.
Demetrius was a smart, sensitive, and caring person. I loved having him (and his brothers) around our house. We are heartbroken for this loss and praying for his family. 🖤
