Demetrius's obituary
**In Loving Memory of Demetrius Farron “Akbar” Parker**
Demetrius Farron “Akbar” Parker, a man of unshakable strength, unwavering love, and boundless resilience, returned to his Creator, Allah, on Jan 17 2023 ]. He was not just a man but a force of nature—a warrior forged in the fires of life’s trials, a survivor who found meaning in struggle, and a beacon of hope for all who were blessed to know him.
Demetrius was the epitome of the saying, *“The rose that grew from concrete,”* defying odds and flourishing despite life’s harshest challenges. He was perfectly flawed yet magnificently human—intelligent, versatile, and deeply honorable. His raw authenticity and refusal to let life extinguish his light were contagious. He carried himself with pride, integrity, and an indomitable spirit that inspired everyone around him.
To his beloved partner and Islamic wife, Demetrius was more than just a husband—he was her safe place, her once-in-a-lifetime friend, her lover, her confidant, and the father of their children. His Beloved Son Dyami “The King” Guidry-Parker AKA Dadooie 17 and His “Princess” Deniya Guidry-Parker 13, Allana and Demetrius’s love was raw, uncorence, Real, unconditionalMost of All unbreakable —a bond built on loyalty, devotion, Safety, Likeness, Respect, passion and admiration that will never fade. Two Beautifully Flawed Warriors who found a life partner in one another To her, he was home.
But above all else, Demetrius’s greatest role—the one he cherished like air itself—was being a father. His children were his heart and soul. They gave him purpose and taught him what it truly meant to live—not just survive. He often said that becoming a father sparked something in him he had never felt before: fear. Not fear for himself—he feared nothing—but fear for his children and their safety as they navigated the growing pains of life. That fear drove him to be better every day—to fight his hardest battle yet: the one within himself. His love for his children was fierce and fearless; they were his greatest achievement and his proudest legacy.
Demetrius’s love extended far beyond his immediate family. He adored his extended family, adopted family, and friends with an unconditional love that knew no limits. Family was everything to him—a cornerstone of who he was—and he never hesitated to show how much they meant to him.
A believer in Allah until his last breath, Demetrius admired the principles, morals, and teachings of the Islamic faith. His faith gave him strength through life’s adversities and peace in its most challenging moments. From Allah he came; to Allah he has now returned.
Demetrius Farron “Akbar” Parker leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, resilience, and unwavering devotion to those he held dear. His light will continue to shine through his children, his partner, his family, and all whose lives he touched. While he may no longer walk beside us in this world, his spirit will forever remain in our hearts.
Rest easy now, Demetrius—you were truly one of a kind. We will carry your memory with us always. **Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un** (*Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return*).
