I feel so blessed to have been with DeMaris during her transition to end of life. I asked her if there was any messages that she wanted to share with friends and family, and her reply was "I have been very lucky. I have had a pretty good life". DeMaris kept her sense of humor and positive outlook until the very end. While we are deeply saddened with our loss, we are also grateful and relieved that she is no longer in pain and finally at peace.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of DeMaris (Fielder) Ross, our beloved mother, grandmother, and friend. DeMaris passed away on July 30th, 2023, after a long battle with vascular and bone marrow disease at the age of 77.

In 1946, DeMaris was born to Helen and Frank Ross. She grew up in Timber Lake, South Dakota – a place that DeMaris has always reflected on as her favorite place on earth. …
