It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Mrs. Demaree Hammond, a beloved wife, mother, sister, grandma and cherished friend, on July 27, 2023. She was born on February 17, 1956, in Norton Kansas and throughout her life served as a beacon of love, kindness and wisdom to those who knew her.

Demaree leaves behind her devoted husband, Calvin Hammond, and her loving children; Shane Anderson,  Ashley Hammond and Jarrod Hammond. As well as four beautiful grandchildren,  Nikoma,  Cassidy, Jaxson,  River and Lennox. Sister Connie Beals and family. Her passing has left a void that can never be filled, but her radiant spirit will forever echo in their hearts.

This celebration of Demaree's life is in remembrance of the person she is. She was a woman of simple pleasures who thoroughly enjoyed things like working in her yard, her career, and her pets and family. Dr. Pepper and bud light was her refreshment of choice, while tunes of Aerosmith kept her spirits high.

Demaree was a loyal fan of the Kansas City Chiefs and took delight in casual recreations like having a beer and hanging with family and friends. 

Kind, loving, fun, dependable, a little stubborn, and unmistakably smart, She had a beautiful  smile. Demaree was adored for the unique blend of personality traits that made her who she was. She firmly believed that, 'this too shall pass', and everything happens for a reason.

Her greatest accomplishments were undoubtedly her marriage and children and conquering breast cancer twice. Her loved ones were the center of her world, and she poured her heart into nurturing those relationships. She is loved by so many and though she will be missed more than words can express, we will forever cherish the memory of her love, warmth, and wisdom.

Signed with heavy hearts, we say goodbye to the extraordinary woman that was Demaree Hammond. Her legacy will continue to live on in those she touched. Rest well, dear Demaree, until we meet again.
