Delores's obituary

Delores Mae White, 95, passed away on November 8, 2024, in Timonium, MD. Born on December 30, 1928, in Hagerstown, MD. Delores spent her early career as a switchboard operator before finding her calling as an electrologist, a role she embraced with passion until her retirement. Beyond her professional life, she was a devoted caregiver, not only to any senior citizens within her community, but also to her cherished family. She will be remembered as a beacon of joy and kindness, always ready to offer her vibrant spirit, help and caring nature to those around her.

She was known for her iconic smile that could light up any room! Delores was a lover of the outdoors, often found boating, crabbing, and cherishing her time at Seaside Campground. She loved to travel, especially if it involved the beach and sunshine! She especially cherished moments spent with her grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life. She always put her many grandchildren before herself and was a source of inspiration and brought joy to so many!

She leaves behind a loving family, including her daughters, Carolyn Scruggs and her husband Tim, and Donna Hilse and her husband Vernon. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Stacy Hardy and her partner Andy Goodman, Sherri and Michael Zellers, Shelley Malinowski and her partner Earl Shiflett, Melisa Cummings and her partner Kirk Soistman, William and Daniela Cummings, Christopher Clasing and his partner Roshie McCoy, Matthew Orndorff, Kelly Clasing and Bunky Vasold. Her great-grandchildren: Maci Gowers, Carli Pagonis, Ashely Struble, Amanda Struble, Jarrett Malinowski, Victoria Hicks, Savannah Soistman, Kirk Soistman, William Soistman, Brandon Soistman, Christopher Clasing, Gabriel Clasing, Malakai Clasing, Ryan Orndorff, Aariel Landgraf, Sammantha Pennewill, Emma Coruzzi, Julia Cummings, and William Cummings. Her great-great-grandchildren include Cameron, Eric, Anakin, Raelynn, Ashton, Colson, Nora Rae, Connor, and Ava.

She also leaves behind a few of her cherished lifelong friends, Lisa Karaskordas, Shirley Fisher, and Janice Jahnestock, whose friendships brought her joy, laughter, and unwavering support throughout her life. She was pre deceased by her dear friend Juanita Mack, who held a special place in her heart.

Delores was preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte and Clarence Barber, and her siblings Harold, Robert, Joseph and Earl Barber, and Joann Hess.

A celebration of life will be held in January 2025, where friends and family will gather to honor her memory and the immeasurable impact she had on their lives.

She will be forever missed, and her love will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
