Background

My Granny was a special little lady. She was strong and sweet all rolled into one. She was my everything. She gave me any of the good qualities I may have. She taught me the difference between right and wrong and why it's important to care about others. She taught me to appreciate what I have and to make the best of it. Most importantly she taught me about God and how much He loves us. A faithful Baptist Christian she rarely missed a Sunday and she prayed for everyone. She was the purest heart I've ever met and she loved me like no other.
It's hard to imagine a world that has lost such beautiful beacon of light. For to know her was to adore her. She never met someone she didn't like. And it breaks my heart that I can't afford to lay her to rest with all she deserves because of money. She deserves a parade and much more, but in this world things aren't so easy.

She was born right as the Great Depression was ending in 1930. She almost made it to 100, but just after turning 96 her body was tired and she went home to be with Jesus and her true love Howard and their 6 children, 5 of whom she never got to know in life and my dad who were all waiting for her. My heart swells thinking of that reunion.

I am trying to raise enough money to pay for her cremation and a small funeral. Because she deserves that and more. From there her ashes will be placed with my Grandad up in the Veterans Cemetery in Santa Nella, CA per her final wishes.
