Delilah's obituary
In loving memory of Delilah Dinah Chavez, who graced our lives from June 4th, 2004, to April 14th, 2024. Delilah was a shining gem born and raised in Albuquerque, N.M. A "Bulldog", Delilah graduated from Albuquerque High, Class of 2022. As a Gemini, she possessed a quick wit and a go-with-the-flow attitude that endeared her to all who knew her.
Her passion for painting and culinary arts showcased her creativity and diversity. With her hardworking nature, independently, Delilah set a path to follow her dreams of traveling and cooking around the world, eventually residing in Florida. On her path to adulthood she was hopeful to grow but she could never let go of the "SpongeBob before bedtime" childlike innocence.
Her intelligence, hard working, independence was matched only by her love for her siblings, cousins and her dog, Menace, her faithful companion. Her character is defined by her protective and nurturing soul. Fiercely loyal to her family and friends Delilah gave comfort and safety to all who knew her. Delilah's kind spirit, contagious laugh, freckled face, wild hair and blue eyes illuminated every room she entered. Despite her unpredictable nature, she approached life with an open mind and compassionate heart. Giving selflessly to everyone she knew.
Delilah's untimely departure leaves a void in the hearts of her parents, Shela Rosenau and Elfiego Chavez, her stepmother Teresa Chavez. Her grandparents Bobby and Mary Bryant. Her siblings Jesus "J.J.", Aleicia "Bella", Harmony, and Aviana and cousins Greggy, Jazzmine and Levi, Ignacio and Kimmy. She is preceded in death by her Grandpa Gregorio and "Nana" Cathy Chavez, Uncle Gregorio "Filbert" Chavez, and cousin Andres "A.J." Rivera.
