Delene's obituary
Delene Ritchie Keck, a uniquely charming and charismatic soul, graced the world with her presence from November 6, 1928, until her departure on August 27, 2024. Known for her unwavering gratitude, athleticism, devout faith, and a talented spirit, Delene leaves behind a legacy of positivity, generosity, and undying kindness.
In November, 1947, she married C.E. "Bud" Ritchie. Delene and Bud found Grand Island to be the perfect place to marry and raise their family before retiring to California. In Grand Island, they were active members of Grace Lutheran Church and Riverside Golf Club.
Delene's life was a testament to her strength and resilience. As an exceptional salesperson, she was the first woman to sell more than a million dollars worth of product, earning numerous lifetime achievement awards from her company. Her artistic accomplishments were equally admirable.
Surviving Delene's departure are her loving family: son Rand (Katherine) Ritchie; son Hal (Mary) Ritchie; daughter, Shawna (Joe) Deck; son-in-law Michael (Rosalind Ritchie) Spitzer; grandchildren Erika Spitzer (Zach Friedland), Matthew Spitzer (Laura Sanman), Chantal (Buck) Bewley, Matthew Schumacher, Mathew (Kristen) Ritchie, Kristen (Zac) Lorenzen, Abram Ritchie, Tory Walker, and Marcas Deck; sister LeAnne (Helmer) Junghans; sister Karla (Roger) Giese; and eleven adored great-grandchildren.
In her journey, she was predeceased by two loving husbands, first C.E. "Bud" Ritchie and later Col. James Stanton "Stan" Keck; beloved daughter Rosalind (Michael) Ritchie Spitzer; daughter-in-law, precious Katherine (Rand) Ritchie; granddaughter Grace Maryalyce Deck, wonderful and priceless little blessing, great granddaughter, Charlotte Delene Ritchie; her parents, Charlotte Paegler Post and John "Jack" Post; and brothers, Marlowe (Pat), LaMoyne "Jack" (LaVon), and Eugene (Ruby) Post.
A memorial service in Delene's honor will take place on October 11, 2024, at 12:00 PM at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, Omaha, followed by a burial on October 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Westlawn Memorial Park, Grand Island.

Delene was an active and respected member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Arroyo Grande.
Delene believed in the power of gratitude, a sentiment she generously shared with everyone around her. Her delightful personality, kind heart, and inspiring lessons on leading a positive and healthy life will be dearly remembered. There are indeed no words to describe how much she will be missed. The world was undoubtedly a better place with Delene in it.
