Delcie Johnson, age 90, peacefully transitioned into the heavens on Thursday July 30, 2020 at memorial hospital. She was bor April 08, 1930 in Lexington, Mississippi to mother "Bainche". She completed her primary years of school. She married Brister Johnson, in Mississippi. She worked at Honeywell Electric Company where she work on Electrical Heaters. Delcie was a longtime volunteer of the Salvation Army in East Saint Louis, rewarded for her many years of service. She shared a genuine love for helping and serving the people around her. She was genuine in her relationships with all people, including her family. She never held her words for the safety of one 's comfort but spoke with the power to change and correct the atmosphere of those around her. With the love of God in her heart, we remember Delcie for the amazing woman that she was. The fight in her will never cease in those who carry on her legacy. She is survived by her children, Tom Johnson, Evelyn Johnson, Steven Johnson, Sebastion Johnson, Marlon Johnson; her Grandchildren Tawanda Smith, Lucas Randall, Aeiyonna Johnson, Johnnie Duckworth, Lynelle S. Johnson, Lakehia M. Johnson-Faint, Fifi F. Johnson-Rose, Kimetha Johnson, Iris Johnson, Geanovea Johnson- West, Jessica Williams, Sebastian Scott Johnson, Kymianta Love, Nascottia Willis, Kelton Withrow, Sebashia L. Withrow, Tanzania Anthony, Major Shirley, Kye Moore, Cierra Jewell, Mia McMillan Tenae Johnson, Ashley Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Marlon Johnson Jr., Kyerra Johnson, Olin T. Mcdonals Jr., and a host of Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. Family, friends, and others are invited to the Repast of Delcie Johnson.
