Delandra's obituary

Delandra “Dee Dee” Inez Milam (Hendricks)

August 22, 1950 – December 29, 2025

Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Delandra Milam, 75 years of age, from Grove City, Ohio, left this world much as she lived in it—on her own terms, with a raised eyebrow and a remark that probably made someone laugh and someone else roll their eyes—on December 29, 2025. She is survived by her loving sons Brian McDonald, Jason (Isabel) McDonald, Jarrod (Chari) McDonald, and Adam Little, and her grandchildren Paige, Brooke, Andrew, Josh, Madison, Darren, Lauren, Jacob, Bridgette, Lilian, and Emma McDonald and many great-grandchildren. Siblings Regina (Raymond) Pettry, William “Jackie” (Della “Fran”) McCormick, Debby (Jerry) Bawgus, Fred (Sherri) Martin, Delores Martin, Darlene Martin, and Edward (Jamie) Martin.

Delandra is preceded by her mother Lillian Stephens, sister Linda Martin Daniel, and son Courtney McDonald.

A proud graduate of South High School, she was a spirited and sassy cheerleader whose zest for life was as infectious as her laughter. Delandra enjoyed hanging out with her childhood friends. She could rally a crowd, light up a room, and deliver a perfectly timed sarcastic remark-sometimes all in the same breath

As a grandmother, she was fiercely proud and determined to pass on more than just her humor. She taught her grandchildren to stand up for what they believe in, to speak their truth without apology, and to never let anyone mistake kindness for weakness.

She cherished taking her granddaughters out for “crap-a-ccinos,” while sharing laughs, gossip, and a little harmless mischief. For her grandsons, nothing expressed love, like her famous iced tea. Delandra loved cats and could not stand to see one go without a home.

A private celebration of life will take place with family and close friends at a later date.

In Delandra’s honor, we invite friends and family to donate to The Cat Welfare Association, this organization helps with the spaying and neutering of cats, which was important to her.
