My name is Suzy Salerno. Diedre and I met in an extensions class at UCLA over 40 years ago in the 80's "The Fine Art of Being Fine Art".  We hit it off imediately and became great friends.  We especially partied and shared life experiences when she lived in a great apartment in Santa Monica. We hung out and mingled and partied as young women would do. As the years went by, she moved to Redondo Beach.  I live in West Hollywood so getting together was not that frequent.  She would give great dinner parties at her house during holidays.  Her backyard is very beautiful and conducive to dancing and merriment. She would often favor us by playing the piano. Diedre had many interests and talents.  Once and awhile she would come to my house and I would make her favorite dish salmon and pasta. Through the years, she was always to photographer at my parties and at my funerals.  Her passing was shocking to me, but not a suprise. She had not been well for a long time.  I spoke with her around her birthday.  We had a great conversation but she had to excuse herself because of how she felt.  Since that time, I have tried calling her and texting her to no avail.  Finally, last night , the dreaded news.  Diedre was a wonderful loving person who made her friends her family.  I will miss her dearly, but she will remanin in my heart.  Anyone who wishes can contact me at 310 270 3210.
