Debi was a lover of all animals, but dogs in particular. At every point in her life, Debi had a dog. To her, these dogs were not her pets, but her family. She would intentionally seek out the animals that were deemed least likely to be adopted - the difficult ones, the old ones, the ones with "special" needs - and she would bring them into her heart and home. Most recently, Debi had adopted a dog who had been rescued following a hurricane. Luna* is older, has no teeth, and only one eye. But that never mattered to Debi.

Chuckie, Pepper, Levi, and most recently Luna were adored and cherished because of Debi's kind heart, and her ability to see the good in everyone. Help us continue her memory by contributing to the Vero Beach Humane Society. With your help, we can provide something to the animals she loved so much in this town she loved so much.

***Debi's family is devastated that they are unable to be Luna's next forever home, but they are determined to give Luna her best chance at finding the love and care that Debi would want her to have.
