Deb's obituary
Debra “Deb” Sue Jones, age 61, passed away peacefully at home on January 11, 2026, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born in Fort Rucker, Alabama, and spent her life building connections, caring deeply for others, and creating a home full of love wherever she went.
Deb was preceded in death by the love of her life, Kim Bode, whose memory she carried in her heart always.
Deb was a devoted daughter, mother, and Memaw whose greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her loving parents, Jimmy and Judy Davis; her daughter, Harlie Gage (Caleb); and her cherished grandchildren, Braelynn and Aidan Gage, who were the light of her life. She is also survived by many dear friends who became family through her kindness and open heart.
Known for her generous spirit, Deb had a natural gift for helping others—always offering support, encouragement, or a home-cooked meal when it was needed most. She expressed her love through her cooking, creating comfort and connection around the table. Deb was also a proud and passionate supporter of the rainbow community, embracing everyone exactly as they were and making sure they felt seen, valued, and loved.
Above all, Deb will be remembered for her warmth, her laughter, and the way she made people feel safe and accepted. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
A Celebration of Life honoring Deb’s beautiful spirit will be held on March 22, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate the remarkable woman she was.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
