Debra's obituary

Debra Leona Stepanek “Debby”, 66, of River Oaks, TX, passed away on November 16, 2022.

Debra was born on August 23, 1956, the youngest of the 4 children of Joseph and Antoinette Stepanek in Rangoon, Burma, where her father worked for the United Nations.   After schooling at The Ecole d'Humanité in Goldern, Switzerland, she went on to become an Occupational Therapy Assistant then later to become a Certified Nursing Assistant where she worked in home healthcare and inside of healthcare facilities.   When Debra had Ruth Jackson (Lucero), she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother.  Whether it was helping family or friends through difficult times or being an open ear to let someone just talk, she made it her mission to improve the lives of others.   Debra was a passionate Christian and loved her church family as well as movies and spending as much time as she could with her 2 granddaughters.   We will miss her greatly.

Debra was predeceased by Joseph and Antoinette Stepanek.  She is survived by Leandro Lucero former spouse, Ruth Jackson (Lucero) daughter and her husband Jarod and grandchildren Elizabeth and Madison, brothers Joseph “Joe” Stepanek and James “Jimmy” Stepanek and sister Antoinette “Toni” Shaller (Stepanek) as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.

There will be a memorial on December 11, 2022, at 2pm at Biggers Funeral Home located at 6100 Azle Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76135
