Background
My mom was in California for her annual visit with her sisters, nieces, nephews, and me when she experienced unexpected medical complications that led to her passing. It still feels impossible to say those words.
Anyone who knew her will always remember her laughter, her bright smile, and the way she cared so deeply for everyone around her. She had a gift for making people feel seen and included. Her love stretched far and wide, but her family was always at the center of her heart.
She was our family historian—the keeper of the stories, the memories, and, of course, the photos. She kept track of our ever-growing family tree and made sure no branch was forgotten. At every gathering, she was there with her camera, capturing it all—the beautiful moments and the hilariously imperfect ones too. Many of us have photos we teased her about: food mid-bite, double chins, eyes half-closed, caught in motion. But now, those candid snapshots feel like treasures. They are pieces of her love, frozen in time.
She made sure no one was left out and no memory went undocumented. That’s why I created this space—to share her photos, stories, and information about her services with family and friends in both California and Oregon. I’ll continue adding more as I sort through the thousands of selfies and pictures she so lovingly took.
For those who have asked how they can help, there is an option on this site to make a donation in lieu of flowers. Her passing was sudden, and we are navigating the many unexpected expenses that come with it—funeral and celebration of life services, moving and storage costs, a headstone, and ongoing bills while we wait for the necessary paperwork.
Please know that your presence, memories, and love mean more than anything. If you feel moved to contribute, we are deeply grateful. If not, simply sharing a story or photo of her is a beautiful way to honor her.
Thank you for loving her. She loved you right back. Contribute
