Debra's obituary

Debra Anne Patch nee Rowe

December 13, 1953 - April 26, 2026

It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our loving mother, Debra Patch on April 26, 2026 in Surrey British Columbia.

Debbie was born December 13, 1953 in North York, Ontario, the oldest child of Edward and Lenore Rowe. She was soon joined by sister Denise, brothers Rick and Norm.

A longtime resident of British Columbia, Debbie spent most of her youth in North Delta. Debbie raised her own children, Kristine, Cheryl, and Wendy in Surrey. She was a beloved grandmother to Teigan, Carysn, Olivia, Greyson, Ian, and Katherine. She then became a great-grandmother to Waylon, Stetson, Henry, George and Lillian.

Debbie had a lifelong love for animals, helping her children raise their horses, cats, dogs, and numerous other small creatures. She later became a grandparent to many furry companions.

An avid reader, she was rarely seen without a book in hand. She could often be found outside, feeding the ducks near her house.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Rick, half sister Geraldine (Ernie) Hill and daughter Cheryl. She is survived by her brother Norm Rowe, sister Denise (Jim) Twizell and their daughters Stacy and Shelley (Brandon) and their children Teya and Logan, half brother Ken Rowe, daughters Kristine (Andrew) Vincent and Wendy (Stuart McRitchie) Patch, granddaughters Teigan (Mac) Reynolds, Carsyn Rylands, Olivia McRitchie, Katherine (Tristan) Martens Rosevear, grandsons Greyson Carr and Ian McRitchie, and great-grandchildren Waylon and Stetson Reynolds, and Henry, George and Lillian Martens Rosevear.

A close family gathering will be held at a later date.

Debbie’s family asks that any memorial donations be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation, or your local animal shelter.
