Debra's obituary

Born July 28,1961

Died April 5, 2024

Our beloved Debra Lynn Hill (Debbie) has found a new home in Heaven.  Debbie was born in Monahans, Texas but the family moved to Marble Falls where she grew up loving the Hill Country and the Lakes. She attended and was baptized in the First Baptist Church of Marble Falls.  Her family moved to Austin where Debbie graduated from Crockett High School in Austin, Texas.  She worked with several Optical offices in the Austin area until she moved to Salado, Texas and bought her own business, a Merle Norman Cosmetics Studio.  Her winning personality and knowledge of her area of work made her one of the top sellers in the country in the cosmetics and jewelry business.  She married Pat Van Cleef who shared in her life and business.  Her wonderful son, Harrison, whom she loved more than life, was born while living in Salado and is now serving in the Army.

Debbie will be greatly missed but remembered for her beauty, her charm, her humor, and her incredible work ethic.  She was an excellent mom and sister and everyone who knew her loved her dearly.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruth Hill, her brother Rick Hill, her sister, Martha Lavette Hill, and her brother-in-law, Jeff Bradfield, and much other family.  She is survived by her beloved son Harrison Hill of Ft. Hood, sister Shirley Scheff of Milwaukee, (Jim), brother Ron Hill of San Antonio, brother Rodney Hill of San Antonio (Annette), sister Jeanette Bradfield of Kyle, sister Charlotte Hill of Las Vegas, and Pat VanKleef of Salado, Texas. She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, and she loved them all.

A private Family Service will be held in honor of Debbie Hill.

If you choose to honor her with a donation to a non-profit charity, we suggest Front Steps at 4507 N IH35, Austin, TX 78722, or Hospice Austin’s Christopher House, at 2820 E. Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Austin, TX 78702, or the charity of your choosing.
