I am so sorry Tiffany and Sherri for the loss of your mom. I know this is a hard time. I did not realize she had passed away. I came upon her facebook page this week and it "was in remembrance of" and so I just now found her obituary.  We lived across the street from her in Montrose and she was the best neighbor and friend. She was so sweet to our family and to our girls. We enjoyed our visits over there. I had not seen her since we moved from Montrose 7 years ago, but I did purchase an office chair from her which I still have at my desk to this day. I know she will be truly missed by so many.  I am so sad to hear of this news. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you.
Received a notice about the anniversary of Deb's passing and recalled, what I think, is a funny memory. Debbie had invited myself and a few other girlfriends to a homemade spaghetti and meatball dinner at her parents home. She graciously treated us to champagne.  While starting to open the bottle she was telling us how careful you need to be when removing the cork and just as she said that the cork catapulted across the room and whizzed by my ear. The room was silenced from the chatter, we looked at each and then burst out laughing. The dinner was delicious, the conversation was good and laughter ensued through the evening.

Tiffany & Sherri, our prayers are with you during this season. Your mother reared two amazing daughters. She was a very special & unique person.
I knew Debbie long before she met her husband,  Gary. We were single gals together and enjoyed many fun times together, including painting her hair with vegetable dye!  We lost touch over the years but I will always remember her a a dynamic, smart, funny person, who had the most beautiful smile.  She's gracing heaven now with that smile.
We were very saddened to hear of Debbie's passing.   She was a great neighbor here in Greencrest in Colorado Springs and a very active member of the community.   We know she loved her two daughters and the grandkids were indeed the apple of her eye!  She will be missed but forgotten.  With loving memories,  Helen and Milo Muterspaugh and Kathleen Rand-Burke.
I'm so saddened to hear of Debbie passing. She was a long time good friend to Dolores and myself and the family. We sang inquired together, pray together, praised the Lord together. She and her family was so appreciated, and she will be greatly missed.

I was so blessed by Deb. An amazing strong Proverbs 31 woman.

During the yoga for grief workshop I took after my mom passed, the instructor shared: “grief is the price we pay for loving. The deeper the connection, the strongest the feeling of loss”. Grief is the token we pay to those we cared for, a tribute for such impactful lives.

Your mom was an amazing person,  full of laughter and joy. Her heart and home  welcoming to old and new friends alike. She will be truly missed by all who had the privilege to get to know her. My deepest condolences,

Susi

Debbie and I had a friendship that was very special. Although she was widowed and I was not, we were able to bond like sisters. We became Prayer partners. We became neighbors, friendly neighbors. My favorite memory is her putting lights at the curb in front of her front sidewalk so I would not trip up as I walked across the street to her house. I am blessed by having Debbie as a friend.

We met Debbie at Fairleigh Dickinson University. We loved hanging out in a coffee area.  We double dated and shared life through our marriages and births of children. Deb and I were shocked when she had her appendix burst and I had surgery two weeks later for acute appendicitis. I remember my dad yelling at our boyfriends for causing our appendix conditions. Debbie accepted Christ in my car while we were in a parking lot in 1975. A police officer shined his light in on us to see two young women crying. and laughing. We told him we were fine and he backed away. What a great friend and sister in Christ. I’ll see you again, Debbie, in heaven. Love Gail and Phil.
