Deborah Lynn Sebens (Hazel), age 67, of Mansfield, IL passed away peacefully at home with her family and puppies by her side. Born on November 26, 1957 in Kankakee, IL. She was the beloved child of Dale Wyatt Hazel and Betty Ellen Hazel (Conour).

Debbie graduated from Clifton Central High School in 1975. She completed a degree in accounting and business at ICC in Champaign, IL. Debbie worked as an accountant for over 45 years. Debbie loved to work with numbers, and it was passion of hers.

Debbie was married to James Brian Sebens in 1998. She is survived by her husband Brian of Mansfield, Betty Hazel (mother) of Mansfield, her children Eric and Leslie Janssen of Hendersonville, TN,  Kelli Ward of Bloomington, IL,  Darren and Jennifer Sebens of White Heath, IL, Dennis Hazel of Mt. Vernon, her grandchildren Aidan Janssen, Mackenna Ward, Dylan Sebens and Wyatt Sebens, best friend Christine (Dan) Drummond of Denver, CO. She is also survived by nieces and many other beloved family and friends.

Debbie was an avid athlete playing softball, volleyball, track, and most other sports in her younger years. She passionately loved the Denver Broncos, cheering on every game she could. Debbie enjoyed puzzles, sewing, her animals, outside work, and home projects. Debbie enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her grandchildren and family.

Per Debbie’s wishes, a service will not be held. The family will plan a celebration of life in the Spring.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in her honor to a Memorial Fund for her grandchildren if you so choose.
