Old School Garden:
-Periodically supports students and non-profits with scholarships and/or donations.
-Hosts potlucks and community garden workdays.
-Has a yearly seed swap at sign-up time.
-Offers plant sales bi-annually with on-site gardening expertise and plant identification.
-Maintains a bee, butterfly and bird friendly environment with an abundance of pollinator plants in the garden.
-Offers educational classes on planting, growing, harvesting and propagation.
-Maintains a Victory Garden ensuring substantial food donations to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia.
A message from OSG:
"The teamwork of our volunteers and the activities they perform throughout the year help us continue to offer 5’ x 20’ plots to gardeners for a $20 per year fee. Some plant beautiful flowers while others plant a huge variety of produce. What progress has been made already thanks to your donors?
Because of our donor support, the Alzheimer's Association has been able to receive over 220,000 calls to our 24/7 Helpline (800.272.3900), offering free confidential support and information. We've granted more than $59 million to 253 new scientific investigations in aggressive pursuit of our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia®. And we've led advocacy efforts to achieve a $300 million increase in federal Alzheimer’s and dementia research funding.

The Alzheimer’s Association was founded in 1980 by a group of family caregivers and individuals who recognized the need for an organization that would unite caregivers, provide support to those facing Alzheimer’s and advance research into the disease.
