Deborah's obituary

Deborah Marlene Williams, age 64, gained her heavenly healing with the Lord on March 16, 2022. She was born in Canton, Ohio on May 11, 1957, to the late Moses Sr. and Susie Williams. Deborah was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Before her declining health, she enjoyed playing guitar, singing and creative interior decorating. She sang in a band all around Canton when she was younger. She loved music, especially the Isley Brothers. Music was her calming place.

Deborah learned to love the Lord as displayed in her childhood play. She and brother Moses “Goomer” and cousin Lavette would “play church” on the front porch. Goomer was the Preacher, while Deborah and Lavette was the choir. Deborah was the lead singer and played the guitar.

Deborah attended school at McKinley High School and she completed courses at the Ohio Business College. She was employed for many years at Molly Stark Hospital, where she loved helping her patients.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Moses Sr. and Susie Williams; sister, Sharon Ellis-Bentley; brothers, Calvin Ellis and Melvin Ellis; her precious granddaughter, Shaye Williams; paternal grandparents, Murphy and Elizabeth Williams; maternal grandparents, Henry, Sr. Vinie Armstead . She leaves to mourn: her precious daughter Carlithia Silva, who took care of her during her ailing years; son, Lamont Williams, Sr.; grandchildren: Cynen, De’Chua, Aque’Linc, Anthony, Skye, Lamont Jr., Kendric and Dymond Williams, Chantasja Silva; NaShon Lipkins; great-granddaughter, Isla Williams.; her sisters Vina “Libby” Ellis, Iola “Bonnie” Shelby and Sheila Canidate; brother, Pastor Moses (Tracy) Williams Jr; nieces and nephews; host of cousins; other family and friends that made an impact on her life.
