Deborah's obituary
We celebrate the life and legacy of Deborah Lee Williams, who entered the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 13, 2024. Deborah was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who brought joy and love to everyone she knew. She was 73 years old.
Born on May 21, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, Deborah spent most of her life in Missouri, where she was a beacon of love, grace, and unwavering faith. Her days were devoted to her family, community, and faith in God.
Deborah is survived by her devoted husband, David; her loving children: Matthew, Sy, Amber, Joshua, Autumn, and Levi; and her bonus children, Ronda and Wyatt. Her cherished grandchildren include Rayne, Taeyn, Draedyn, Austin, Victoria, Emory, Savannah, Sophia, Alejandro, Ayana, Joshua, Meadow, Angel, Kaylee, Koltin, Taycen, Rylee, and eight other bonus grandchildren. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren: Judah, Rowan, Karson, Karter, and Nora. Deborah is also survived by her brothers, Craig, Steve, and Tom; and her stepsiblings, Patty, Denny, Doug, and Paula. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leona Uchtman and Bernard Griffin; her brothers, David and Randy; and her grandsons, Jacob and Jayd.
Deborah’s life was a reflection of her deep love for Jesus, whom she served with her whole heart. She was determined to share the good news of Christ with everyone she encountered, counseling countless women through her ministry and leading them to find freedom in their faith. Her unwavering commitment to teaching the gospel and supporting missions was evident in the way she volunteered tirelessly, participated in mission trips, and supported others’ missionary work around the world.
Family was the heartbeat of Deborah’s life. She loved her family with every fiber of her being, and her home was a place of warmth, love, and unforgettable meals. Cooking brought her immense joy, and her passion extended beyond the kitchen. She owned an extensive collection of recipes, authored a cookbook, and delighted in teaching others the art of cooking, often sharing her favorite dishes with those she loved.
A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, December 30th, at First Baptist Church, located at 1302 S. Maguire St., Warrensburg, MO. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by the service at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Deborah requested donations be made to Matthew 10 International, one of her favorite mission organizations, at https://www.matthew10.com/fre….
Her memory will forever live in our hearts, and her legacy of love and faith will continue to inspire us until we meet again.
