Life is too short. For my self I've gone the wrong way mostly with the best intentions. My sister, My kids have been there for my mom unlike anyone accept Granny. Her passing has left an indent on my heart. 2500 miles away from home, Financially It is a tough season due to the weather. Breaking my lease, Repairing my vehicle, re homing my pets, has really created a difficult situation . In 1992 My mother survived legionaries. A rare lung disease at the time was 1 in 80,000 chance to survive. A night embedded in my mind. I with my grandmother, watched the doctors take her off life support. Fate would have it she lived through that night. Her work was to be done. Raising my sister and I alone. Graduating college, being a grandmother. Planting flowers, and bringing people closer to God through Last Days motorcycle ministry. The only thing left was falling in love with the only man ever I accepted as safe, and didn't feel the need to protect her from. All this while dealing with so much adversity, trauma, & poverty, she still achieved, overcame, persisted through life with a smile. She would not leave until she knew My sister and I would be okay. As they took her off life support Feb. 25th shaken all the way back to that day. She was told she could go home by my sister. I may have uttered it. If not certainly agreed with my sister. She took her last breath. To look back and see more clearly. I only wish I could have been more supportive. She was my favorite. I chose no one over her ever. Never know about finances in our family. It is either really good or really bad. For both my sister and I it's bad. I've taken the last bit of money to buy the parts for my car, still short 1300.00 traveling expenses. Funeral expenses, bills, paperwork needed filing is overwhelming and estimated cost of 15-16000.00 total to be able to celebrate my mom's life, and transition into life after her. Service is unofficially set for The 14th. Our family has seen quite a bit of tragedy over past few years. My sister and I only to remain. If we could somehow raise 4-6 thousand more. We might actually be able to breathe enough to walk through this horrible time. To think of failing my mom by being unable to provide a memorial service l, is even more devastating. Getting back to Kentucky is second to that. We are asking friends family to support if you are able only. We understand how difficult it is to live in these times. We need 10.00 from Five hundred people to make it happen. As much as I hate asking. We are down to the last straw. A link will be provided for the funeral home, and My sister will be collecting whatever blessing you may choose to give. I can't thank you enough for being a part of my mother's life. The support you have given this far to My sister and I. Forever indebted.
