Deborah's obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deborah "Debbie" Martin on June 11, 2025. Born on January 15, 1957, Deborah, known affectionately as Debbie by those closest to her, was a beacon of warmth and humor, whose kindness will be forever remembered.
Deborah leaves behind a loving family; her devoted husband of many years, Robert Martin, her son Alex Capshaw and daughter Amanda Schultz. She was also a cherished grandmother to Erin, Hannah, Bella, Alex, Mason, Emma and Lincoln as well as an aunt to many. Deborah was the daughter of Elizabeth Buffington and the late Vonnie Buffington. She was a beloved sister to Lisa Langdon and Doug Buffington. Deborah was predeceased by her sister, Peggy Ortel, and her young grandson, Kayson Capshaw.
Deborah had a zest for life that was reflected in her everyday activities. A lover of animals, she enjoyed spending time with her dogs and cherished moments of tranquility while planting and tending to her flowers. She was an avid reader and never missed a chance to spend quality time with her family. Her culinary preferences were as delightful as her radiant personality. She loved to indulge in treats such as chocolate, ice cream, scotcheroos, and tiramisu. A cup of coffee or a Coca-Cola drink often accompanied her meals. A fan of the classics, "Dirty Dancing" held a special place in her heart.
Deborah's warmth, humor, and kindness will be deeply missed but will live on in the hearts and minds of those who were fortunate enough to know her. Her legacy is one of love and kindness that will remain as a comforting memory to us all. As we mourn her loss, we also celebrate the joy, laughter, and love she brought into our lives.
