Music was one of the great joys of Debbie’s life — a soundtrack woven through every chapter of her journey. She carried a lifelong love for rock legends like Ozzy Osbourne and found strength and relatability in the music of Jelly Roll. Through the ’80s and ’90s, her playlists were filled with the voices of Savage Garden, Prince, Annie Lennox, and so many other iconic artists who colored those eras with passion and rhythm.

Debbie’s taste was wonderfully expansive. She could move effortlessly from the haunting melodies of Evanescence to the pop brilliance of Madonna, always willing to explore something new. Music wasn’t just something she listened to — it was something she felt, shared, and created.

In her later years, she and her daughter Ashley discovered new joy together through AI music, making songs for one another and celebrating the creativity technology made possible. Her final messages were filled with excitement about a song she made for her grandchildren, and before that, she proudly shared a track she created about her daughters. Even toward the end, Debbie expressed her love through melody — a reminder that her voice, her rhythm, and her heart will continue to echo in those she loved thru her passion in musi.

Debbie’s artistic spirit showed up in everything she touched. She admired the dreamy, impressionistic landscapes of Monet, finding peace in soft colors and delicate light. Around her home, she collected art and photography of icons like Marilyn Monroe, drawn to their timeless beauty and bold presence.

But her favorite work was often her own — a passion she nurtured for decades. Oil painting became her meditation, and through years of dedication she developed an incredible talent for detail, color, and expression. In the early 90s, anyone lucky enough to know her probably owned a jean jacket hand-painted by Debbie herself, often featuring Disney characters with whimsical strokes. Each piece was one-of-a-kind, a wearable treasure. She used these moments to show her daughter that you can design anything you imagine — creativity has no rules.

Debbie could draw just about anything she set her eyes on. More than art, she created magic, leaving behind color in the lives of everyone she touched.
