In lieu of flowers

Please consider a contribution to Survivors of Addictions.

Background

In honor of our beloved mother, we ask that donations be made to a charity supporting survivors of addiction. Though her passing was caused by heart disease and complications from methamphetamine use, her story is one of struggle, love, and humanity. Despite the silence and denial that often surround addiction, we choose honesty and compassion.

We believe in supporting recovery—not shame. By helping those fighting to rebuild their lives, we can prevent others from suffering the same fate and honor her memory through hope, understanding, and the power of second chances.

UPDATE REGARDING DONATIONS & MEMORIAL FOR DEBBIE

I want to share an important update so everyone has clear and accurate information.

No GoFundMe or private fundraiser that has been circulating is authorized by me Ashley Noelle Famera-Rosenzweig, and no memorial will be funded through those pages. Please do not donate to any GoFundMe claiming to collect funds on behalf of my mother’s memorial with my name or photos.

For those who wish to honor Debbie’s life, donations can be made directly through The FOG Foundation, the nonprofit created in her name to support individuals and families affected by addiction. All contributions made through the foundation will go toward addiction recovery efforts and toward creating a memorial bench for Debbie here in Hawaiʻi.

If you have questions or need confirmation, you can reach out through this website and I will respond directly. Thank you to everyone who has shown love and support during this time — it truly means more than you know.
