It is with tremendous sadness that we announce Deborah “Debbie” Ann (Miller) Martin, a beloved mother, daughter, aunt, cousin and friend, passed away on August 3, 2022 at KU Hospital from a combination of health issues. Debbie’s passing has been heartbreaking for all who had the blessing of knowing her.

Debbie was a truly fantastic person in many aspects of her life; she put others before herself, didn’t sweat the small stuff and was always smiling even if there was a reason not to. She enjoyed spending time with family, friends and especially with her group of cul-de-sac neighborhood friends. She considered her colleagues amongst the best of friends, sharing many good times inside and outside of work and developed lasting friendships from each place of employment. On the rare occasion she splurged on herself she could be found on a tropical cruise or on a trip with friends. Her favorite team to cheer on was the KC Chiefs and could be frequently seen sporting her Chiefs attire and drinking from her Chiefs tumbler.

She is survived by her children, parents, nephews, niece, sister-in-law and many cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, maternal aunt and uncle, paternal aunt and all her grandparents.

To say that her family, friends, colleagues, as well as the medical professionals who cared for her will greatly miss her is an understatement.

At her request, in her final wishes, no funeral service will be held. However, a Celebration of Life will be is in the works and will be held at a future date. She wished to be remembered and acknowledged as the hardworking loving mother, friend and esteemed colleague that she was.
