Deborah's obituary

Deborah Jane (Poquette) Clark, 70, of Phoenix, Arizona went to be with the Lord on November 30, 2017. She was born January 7, 1947, in Burlington, VT, the daughter of Richard R. Poquette and Elizabeth (Jordan) Poquette.
She grew up in Vergennes, VT and graduated from VUHS in 1965.
Deborah married Brian R. Clark on May 21, 1966. They had seven children together. The family moved to AZ in 1971, but Deborah's heart was always in Vergennes.
She was an avid gardener and could grow vegetables anywhere; she did her best to pass on her gardening knowledge to her children. Debby also enjoyed sewing and taught her granddaughters to sew, crochet, and knit.
Debby was known as a "baby whisperer" as she could always soothe a crying baby (including her 14 grandchildren) with her calm, nurturing spirit. She delighted in traveling to spend time with all her children and grandchildren and siblings the past few years. She was passionate about her family history and traced her family back several generations through Canada and France; recording her research for her children and grandchildren.

Deborah is survived by her children: Louisa (Ron) Koistinen, Stephanie Clark, Jeffrey (Mindy) Clark, Jeremiah (Stacy) Clark of Phoenix, Danielle (Mike) Gallegly of WA, Joshua Clark of SD, Laurie (Aaron Laur) of MT. Also 14 grandchildren: In Phoenix, Jane Koistinen, Trevor Graves, Andy Graves, Maddy Clark, Jillian Clark, Rylan Clark and Avalon Clark; in WA, Allison Fatone, Brooklyn Kircher, and Robbianna Gallegly; in SD, Landon Arrowood-Clark and Norah Clark; in MT, Reese Laur and Weston Laur. Debby is also survived by her sisters Cheryl (Bill) Patten, Penny (Richard) Austin; and brothers Gary Poquette, Peter Poquette, Bill (Linette) Poquette, and Darren (Laurie) Poquette.
She was predeceased by her husband Brian and her parents.
No service is planned at this time.
