Background
As many of you know, my mother was diagnosed with Small Cell Carcinoma this past October and was hospitalized immediately and on a ventilator in less than 24 hours. She was in the hospital for 2 months and continued treatment for 5 months post discharge.
Her oncologist advised to continue immunotherapy for 18 months after her chemotherapy round ended to help keep her healthy and so he could keep an eye on her.
Her first appointment for immunotherapy started off with some very bad news. Her cancer was back and more aggressive than before.
Although my mom had insurance, it didn’t cover everything. Her medical bills are well over $50,000 with more coming in.
In lieu of flowers, we ask that a donation be made so that I can pay off her debts, cover funeral expenses and if anything is leftover it will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Please help me in honoring my mother’s wishes. There is no minimum amount and we will be grateful for anything.
