She was a very Sweet and Special aunt in my life. And always had her beautiful smile on every day. She will never be forgotten, I'll think of her every time I see Cindy, or Trish because they have that same beautiful smile.
Debbie and Herm were the greatest neighbors.  There have been too many memories to point out just one.  Debbie was like a dear friend and a second mom to me.  May her spirt be with all of us in the future.

My deepest  condolences to Trisha and Cyndi and your families. Your mom's cousin Bob Hicks was my father and her Aunt Helen was my grandmother. My sister Vicky and I visited your family when you were in Sundance years and years ago. Your mom was always very sweet and kind to us and she and your Dad invited us to a large family reunion at their home about 35 years ago. I still have the group photo. I am so sorry for your loss,  your mom was a special lady and will be deeply missed.

Much love to you all in this time of grief and sorrow that is tempered by rejoicing in the everlasting life she embraced and ever held fast.  Even at the Grave those who love and follow Jesus make their song Alleluia !  Alleluia ! Alleluia !   May God comfort you all in this time with His loving presence.  I thank God I was able to know and be friends with Debbie and Herm and all of your family.

Iam so sad to hear of Debbie's passing.  Debbie was a great friend and a loving client.  I have had the pleasure of knowing her for 26 years and in that time heard many of her stories.  I loved talking to her and listening to her adventures.  I will miss her deeply.  God bless this angel.  Prayers for the family.  Love Mary Eberl,  Scizzors

A most unlikely pairing... my duet partner, Mother Ball. For years, as frequent as possible, we would get together for jam sessions in her living room... she would play piano and I would sing. Good times!! One of my faves and definitely memorable: "Marry Me" (Bruno Mars) out of nowhere. Ask me how she had the sheet music for that song 😲. However/ wherever s got it, she nailed it and tickled herself so much she wanted to do it again and again (Age 89). Her joy about it was so infectious, how could I resist??? Secretly, I would do whatever music she wanted, as many times or as long as she wanted just to spend the time w/ this spirited queen! This is but 1 sampling of many of special memories I was blessed to share with my Bestie's mom. Mother Ball, you amazing, joy-filled, kind, generous, sweet lady, I will miss you so much and so dearly. Tricia, thank you SOOOO MUCH for sharing the gift your Mom was with us (me!). God / Heaven definitely got the winning end of the bargain December 15, 2022! Our loss is their (His) gain, but I sure think we needed her more in this realm... mine is not to wonder why. iJs🫂!

My thoughts are with you all who are there in Colorado. Be strong and remember Gmas great life which we were all privileged to share at various times. My immediate recollection is Fur Elise on the piano - beautiful- and every morning on my visits she would ask  'Lem, can I fix you some eggs?  Many treasured memories of a welcoming, lovely person.
Sorry for your loss. Mrs Ball was one of my favorite people growing up in Durango. She was nicest person and I am sure she will be missed greatly!
I met Debbie when she would join Tricia at online game nights during lockdown. She reminded me of my beloved mother. She inspired me with her ability to continue doing volunteer work - especially since it involved learning and using technology. She delighted me with her sense of humor and joy for lilfe. Whenever she joined us for a game, my spirits automatically lifted.

So sorry Tricia.  Thanks for writing a wonderful obit, really enjoyed reading it.  Your Mom had a full, interesting, and very active life.  Quite talented with music.  I can see where you got your love of travel.  Lucky to have such a special Mother.

Beautifully written, Tricia. I can imagine Debbie considered her life to be rather average when in fact it was stunning in its purpose, service, creativity, and love. Herm and Debbie’s ways of living a life will continue to manifest through Cyndi, Trish, and all who were in their circle. The Bredys send our love and continuing thoughts.
