Thank you to everyone for your support during this difficult time. It was her wish to be cremated. We will have a Celebration of Life in California and Texas. We know that everyone who loved Deborah will not be able to attend. We would love for you to post your favorite photos and/or stories about her on the memories tab of this memorial website

Obituary

Deborah Ann Kirkwood was a remarkable woman whose story is as rich and vibrant as the city of Memphis itself. Born on a spring Tuesday in 1952, at the heart of Shelby County, she was the first joy of Sammie Lee Kirkwood, who had journeyed from Mississippi to Memphis, with her family who were seeking a new life.
