Debi's obituary
With profound sorrow, we announce the passing of Deborah “Debi” Ellis on December 5, 2025, at home and surrounded by the love of her family. Born April 18, 1954, Debi lived a life devoted to love, laughter, and service to her family and others. Her radiant personality : fun-loving, witty, hilarious, strong, inviting spirit, was an inspiration to all who knew her, and her presence brought light and comfort wherever she went.
Debi’s greatest accomplishments were not only found in her career, but in her family and in her enduring ability to grow, adapt, and persevere through life’s ups and downs. She is survived by her brother, Michael Leonard; her sister, Michelle Leonard; her loving children, Vanessa, Thomas, Casey, and Christina Ellis; and her cherished grandchildren, Crystal and Oliver Kearns, Rowan and Evelyn Butler, and Candy Ellis , all of whom were the joy and pride of her life.
Debi’s legacy is one of strength, selflessness, and a welcoming spirit that extended open arms to anyone in need. Throughout her life, she shared invaluable lessons of empowerment and perseverance, encouraging those around her to trust themselves, stay hopeful, and keep going even when life felt difficult. Her faith in love, resilience, and the goodness in people guided the way she lived and cared for others.
A memorial service will be held in her honor on March 7, 2026, at 11:00 AM at 2375 Aberdeen Way. Family and friends whose lives she touched so deeply will gather to celebrate her life, honor her spirit, and remember the lasting imprint she left on their hearts.
Debi’s absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved her, but her spirit lives on in the lives she shaped, the love she gave, and the memories held close by those who carry her forward. She is now reunited in heaven with her beloved husband Adam, her two babies Crystal and Candy, her sister, and her mother : welcomed with love and peace. Her remarkable journey, her boundless love, and her unwavering commitment to helping others will forever be cherished by her family, her friends, and all who were fortunate enough to walk alongside her in this life.
