Debbie's obituary
In Loving Memory of Debbie S. Motts
December 21, 1959 – July 16, 2025
Debbie S. Motts entered into her new life with the Lord on July 16, 2025, surrounded by love and leaving behind a legacy of faith, compassion, and light that will continue to shine through all the lives she touched.
Born on December 21, 1959, in Pomona, California, Debbie grew up in the Pomona/Inland Empire area where she built a life rooted in love, service, and joy. A proud 1978 graduate of Pomona High School, she went on to attend Mt. San Antonio College for two years. Throughout her life, Debbie embraced many careers, each reflecting her caring heart and vibrant spirit.
For 15 years, she worked as an instructional aide, dedicating herself to the education and care of children with learning disabilities—a role she found deeply rewarding. Later, she pursued opportunities outside the classroom and eventually found her favorite position at Primo Sales, where she worked as a food broker selling high-end tomato products to restaurants. Debbie loved the freedom of the open road, the chance to meet new people, and the beauty of California’s coastline—which she often admired during her travels. For her, it wasn’t just work—it was fun, fulfilling, and a perfect fit for her outgoing nature.
In 2019, Debbie and her husband relocated to Post Falls, Idaho, where they continued to build a life full of love, family, and adventure. Debbie loved God’s creation and found peace in the beauty of the outdoors. Whether camping at the sand dunes, playing with her dirt toys, watching sunsets over the ocean, or enjoying long days by the lake or pool, she often marveled at the wonder of God’s handiwork. She adored her dogs, and while her husband Rob sometimes teased that she might have loved them more than him, Debbie’s love for Rob was steadfast, deep, and true—he was her soulmate, the one God perfectly matched her with.
Debbie’s legacy is one of selflessness, laughter, warmth, and unwavering faith. Her spirit lives on in the countless people she uplifted and inspired, in the beauty she found in everyday life, and in the family she loved so dearly.
She is survived by her loving husband Rob; her two children, Tawnie Pagano (Brandon) and Ryan Motts (Robin); her six beloved grandchildren—Gavin, Grant, Gage, Garrett, Seth, and Peyton; her sister Pattie Bishop; and many cherished extended family members and close friends.
Debbie’s life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and faith. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
“Well done, good and faithful servant.” – Matthew 25:23
