Debbie's obituary
It is with a shattered heart that we share the passing of Debbie Bodrug on March 2, 2024. Born on May 24, 1955, Debbie touched the lives of many with her spirit, tenacity and bigger than life personality.
Debbie is survived by her loving husband, Ken Bodrug, her daughters, Carleigh, Jacqueline Bodrug and the Chimp. She was an adored mother-in-law to Jesse Dale and Curtis Ryan, and a doting grandmother to Mackenzie Ryan. She was predeceased by her parents, Florence and Gordon Easton, and her sister, Bernice Crow.
More than anything, Debbie loved spending time with her family. She was a passionate animal lover with horses, great danes, chickens and more finding a loving home under her roof. She was an adventurer through and through - and enjoyed motorcycles, windsurfing, skiing, sailing and trekking 10k steps a day throughout her life, along with travels across the globe from Portugal, Italy to her second home in South Florida.
Debbie gathered close friends wherever she went, and it is a true testament to her incredible love for life. May she rest in peace with a margarita in hand listening to the Rolling Stones.
A gathering to celebrate Debbie's vibrant life will be held on March 10, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Southshore Community Centre at 205 Lakeshore Dr, Barrie. There will be a service at 1:00pm, followed by a drop-in reception from 2:00 to 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, we request that you celebrate Debbie's life by making a donation to the animal rescue of your choice.
