Background
Deb always wanted to help. As a dedicated Nurse for 46 years, with a calling to Hospice care for 33 of those, she always gave more of herself. She was there to support the physical and emotional needs of her patients even up to the last day of her life. She knew God had a purpose for her and she embraced it with the utmost care and compassion, always putting others' care before her own.
There are a number of causes the family will support in her honor, including one very near and dear to her, CURE Childhood Cancer.
Deb will ultimately be cremated so that Greg and each of her 6 children are able to bring her with them wherever they live. The family will also be dedicating memorial benches where friends and family can visit to pay their respects. Deb loved the Roswell Rec playground, and a parade(!), so they will be honoring her legacy with benches at the playground and along her favorite parade routes in Roswell, GA and Traverse City, MI.
The suddenness of Deb's life being taken so quickly has left her immediate family in shock. Any additional donations may be used to help household expenses in the coming weeks and months - allowing the family to focus on planning her celebrations of life in Roswell and Traverse City.
