Dee's obituary
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Deanna "Dee" Perez Cliffe, a remarkable woman known for her wit, playfulness, snarkiness, and tender heart. Dee was born on March 14, 1967, and left this world too soon on September 18, 2024.
Dee leaves behind a loving family who cherished her vibrant personality and unconditional love. She is survived by her devoted husband, Jim Cliffe, and their caring daughter, Amanda Burkett, son, James Cliffe Jr. Her loving sister, Elaine Perez, and sister, Lena Beechert, will remember her fondly. Her son-in-law, Josiah Burkett, granddaughter, Keira Robbins, niece, Krystal Seaman, niece, Elizabeth Beechert, nephew, Andrew Verga, and nephew, Daniel Verga will keep her in their hearts forever.
Dee was predeceased by her loving parents, Catherine and Manuel Perez, who we trust have welcomed her with open arms in the afterlife. She will be profoundly missed by her family, friends and all those who had the privilege to know her.
A woman of wide and diverse tastes, Dee appreciated anything and everything in music. Her favorite colors were burgundy and hunter green, and she found solace and joy in the works of Dean Koontz and Stephen King. They provided her an escapism that she often shared with others, further emphasizing her love for the profound and the whimsical.
Dee's favorite vacation spot was the Dominican Republic, a place she described as a piece of paradise on earth. Her varied interests and love for life added color and joy to the lives of those around her.
Dee believed in the power of humility and learning. Her guiding principle was that to fail is to learn, and true strength comes from admitting your faults. In her unique and vibrant way, Dee lived this truth and shared it with those around her.
As we say goodbye to Deanna, we celebrate her life and the many ways she touched our hearts. May her soul rest in peace and her lessons continue to inspire us in our daily lives.
