Deanna's obituary

Deanna Guilmette Maravalle, after a long battle with chronic dementia and other ailments, departed this mortal life to her eternal rest and reward in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ, August 30th, 2022, under Bristol Hospice Care at home, her loving husband beside her to the end.

Born February 20th, 1940, Berlin New Hampshire, to Paul and Rose Guilmette, the family relocated to Hartford Connecticut where she and her siblings were educated and where she met and married her first husband Richard Lepore, a professional musician, with whom she bore two daughters, Karen the eldest, and Beth and her son Anthony.

In 1985, serving as office manager of Monte Carlo Restaurant and Deli in Burbank California, she encountered a Christian man, also employed there and immediately formed a strong friendship and they began attending Grace Community Church, Sun Valley California, sitting under the expository preaching of Senior Pastor John MacArthur and soon surrendered her heart mind and soul to Jesus Christ, was baptized and committed herself to the obedience of saving faith. She became a diligent student of the Bible and committed to Christian service for the remainder of her married life with Marco Maravalle whom she married on June 10th, 1987.

They remained in Southern California a few years more then made the move to Medford Oregon where they lived and ran a tailoring business together for many years. After Deanna's father's death (August 17th, 2006), Rose Guilmette, her mother, left New Hampshire and came to live with them, being lovingly cared for until her death on March 10th, 2009, at the age of 90.

Deanna enjoyed Bible reading, sewing and gardening, and was devoted to her marriage, placing it above all else next to her relationship to Jesus Christ, God's Son and Saviour whom she loved.

She is survived by her sister Priscilla Baril, brother Paul Guilmette, her children Karen Nichols, Beth Kageyama and Anthony Lepore, seven grandchildren and her husband Marco R Maravalle who lives with God's promise of seeing her again, glorified, at the resurrection of the just.
