Deanna's obituary
Deanna Coppock-Brooks, 65, of Parker, CO passed away on July 05, 2023, surrounded by her husband and daughter. Deanna was born on April 12, 1958 to John and Kathleen Coppock in Detroit, Michigan. She met her husband Edmund in Belleville, MI where both of their family’s grew up. They were married January 28, 1981 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Deanna worked for United Airlines for 31 years, allowing for many wonderful vacations with family and friends. It also brought Deanna and Ed to Colorado where they raised their 2 daughters. Deanna loved to entertain and was the hostess with the mostest at all gatherings, spending her time ensuring everyone was well fed and taken care of. She was always ready to help anyone in need and was a loyal friend. For the last 7 years, Deanna battled with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), which forced her to slow down. Deanna enjoyed spending time with her grandson Leo. They would spend hours having scooter races, nerf battles, playing Yahtzee with giant dice, scooter tag and tractor racing! She enjoyed sneaking treats to her grand dogs who you could always find by her side. MSA may have slowed Deanna down while playing card and dice games, but she still kicked everyone's butts!
Deanna is predeceased in death by her daughter (Katy), mother (Kathleen), father (John), and brother (Jimmy). She is survived by her husband (Edmund), daughter (Kari), grandson (Leo), son-in-law (Will), sisters (Derenda, Dee Dee, Felicia) and brothers (John, Bob, Charlie).
Deanna will be dearly missed and always remembered.
A celebration of life will be held in her honor on Sunday July 16, from 2p-5p at 8534 Homestead Road, Parker CO 80138.
Deanna's wishes are to have her ashes buried along with her daughter Katy's in the Holly Pond Cemetery in Holly Pond, AL where her parents were laid to rest. A small family service will be held at the Holly Pond Cemetery. Date and time TBD.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to one of these charities that the family has set up a fundraiser for.
